Wrapped Bitcoin
Definition: Wrapped Bitcoin is a token representation of bitcoin on a non-Bitcoin blockchain, commonly used so BTC-linked value can participate in smart-contract ecosystems.
Different wrapped-BTC implementations can use different custodians, bridges or collateral mechanisms and are not native BTC on the Bitcoin network.
