Token symbol
Definition: A token symbol is a short label such as USDC or WETH used by interfaces to identify a token, but it is not globally unique or cryptographically authoritative.
Different contracts can intentionally or accidentally use the same symbol.
How this concept appears in Terenval Wallet
Terenval users should use network and contract address, not only the displayed symbol, when confirming a token's identity.
Important: Scam tokens often copy familiar symbols and names to look legitimate.
