Token decimals
Definition: Token decimals are metadata conventions that tell interfaces how to display an integer token balance as a human-readable fractional amount.
An ERC-20 contract can use a decimals value such as 6 or 18, while on-chain accounting still stores integer units.
How this concept appears in Terenval Wallet
Terenval or any wallet interface must interpret token units using the correct contract metadata to avoid misleading displayed amounts.
Important: Never infer token value from raw integer amounts without checking decimals and the correct contract.
