# WalletConnect session

## Definition

A WalletConnect session is an authorized connection context between a compatible wallet and dApp that defines which accounts, chains, methods or events the dApp may request.

## What it means in practice

A session can persist beyond a single transaction, but individual signing requests still require the wallet's handling and user approval according to the wallet flow.

## How this concept appears in Terenval Wallet

Terenval Wallet supports WalletConnect sessions for compatible dApps, keeping keys in the wallet rather than handing them to the dApp.

**Important:** Disconnect sessions you no longer use and review each new request rather than assuming an existing session is automatically safe.
