# Wallet import

## Definition

Wallet import is the act of loading existing recovery material or keys into compatible wallet software so the software can reconstruct and manage the corresponding accounts.

## What it means in practice

Importing does not move coins between blockchains. It changes which wallet software can access the same underlying accounts, assuming compatibility.

## How this concept appears in Terenval Wallet

Terenval supports importing an existing wallet through its recovery-phrase flow for supported mnemonic lengths and networks.

**Important:** Before importing, verify that you are using the official wallet and that the target software supports the original account structure.
