# Seed phrase phishing

## Definition

Seed phrase phishing is a scam specifically designed to make a wallet owner disclose recovery words, often by pretending to be support, a security check, an airdrop or a wallet migration page.

## What it means in practice

Because the phrase can recreate wallet keys, a convincing phishing page may be more dangerous than a stolen application password.

## How this concept appears in Terenval Wallet

Terenval's production design processes the seed/recovery phrase on the user's device and does not send it to Terenval servers. Any external form claiming Terenval needs the phrase should be treated as suspicious.
