Seed phrase checksum
Definition: A seed phrase checksum is validation information embedded in certain mnemonic schemes, including BIP-39, that helps detect some invalid word combinations or ordering errors.
A checksum can tell software that a mnemonic is structurally invalid, but a valid checksum does not prove the phrase belongs to the intended wallet.
How this concept appears in Terenval Wallet
Terenval import validation can use mnemonic rules locally, while the recovery phrase itself should remain on the user's device.
Important: Never submit a phrase to an online checksum service just to verify it.
