# Nonce

## Definition

In an Ethereum externally owned account, the nonce is a counter that orders outgoing transactions from that account.

## What it means in practice

A lower-nonce pending transaction can block later transactions from the same account until it is processed or replaced.

## How this concept appears in Terenval Wallet

When Terenval sends transactions on Ethereum-style networks, nonce ordering is part of the underlying account model.

**Important:** Do not manually alter nonce values unless you understand replacement and ordering behavior.
