# Fake wallet app

## Definition

A fake wallet app is malicious software that imitates a legitimate crypto wallet to steal recovery material, private keys, credentials or signed transactions.

## What it means in practice

Fake wallets may copy branding and interface design closely, so the download source and domain matter as much as visual appearance.

## How this concept appears in Terenval Wallet

Terenval Wallet is distributed from the official wallet.terenval.com experience as an installable PWA. Users should begin installation from the official domain.

**Important:** Never restore a valuable wallet into an app reached from an unsolicited APK, message attachment or unknown download page.
