# Ethereum

## Definition

Ethereum is a programmable blockchain network that supports accounts, smart contracts and decentralized applications, with ETH as its native asset.

## What it means in practice

Ethereum transactions can transfer ETH or call smart contracts. Execution consumes gas, and applications can define token and permission logic through contracts.

## How this concept appears in Terenval Wallet

Terenval Wallet supports Ethereum mainnet and multiple Ethereum L2/EVM networks from one mobile interface.

**Important:** An Ethereum-style 0x address does not identify the intended chain by itself; verify the network before transferring assets.
