# Ethereum transaction

## Definition

An Ethereum transaction is a signed instruction from an externally owned account that can transfer ETH, deploy a contract or call an existing smart contract.

## What it means in practice

The transaction includes fields such as nonce, destination, value, gas parameters and optional calldata.

## How this concept appears in Terenval Wallet

Terenval creates and signs Ethereum-style transactions for supported EVM networks while the selected network validates and executes them.

**Important:** Review value, destination, network and contract data before signing.
