# ETH

## Definition

ETH is the native asset of the Ethereum network and is used for value transfer and to pay gas fees for Ethereum transactions.

## What it means in practice

ETH also appears on some Ethereum L2 networks as the native fee asset, but balances and transactions remain separate between networks unless assets are bridged or transferred.

## How this concept appears in Terenval Wallet

Terenval Wallet supports ETH on Ethereum and works with supported L2/EVM networks where network-specific ETH balances may also exist.

**Important:** Before sending ETH, confirm whether the recipient expects Ethereum mainnet ETH or ETH on a specific L2.
