# Wallet account

## Definition

A wallet account is a logical identity managed by wallet software, usually associated with one or more blockchain addresses, keys or derivation positions.

## What it means in practice

The word 'account' can mean different things across chains and wallet interfaces. Ethereum has protocol-level accounts, while HD wallets can also present numbered derived accounts to the user.

## How this concept appears in Terenval Wallet

Terenval manages supported Bitcoin and EVM-style accounts under one wallet interface while keeping network-specific behavior separate.

**Important:** When restoring another wallet, verify which account index and address you expect rather than assuming the first visible account is the only one.
