Phantom vs Terenval Wallet: Solana-First Multichain vs Bitcoin/EVM Focus

Direct answer: Phantom remains strongly associated with Solana but is now a broader multichain wallet. Its current official support page lists Solana, Ethereum, Bitcoin, Base, Polygon and BNB Smart Chain among supported networks. Terenval's current network set instead centers on Bitcoin, Ethereum, BNB Smart Chain and selected Ethereum L2/EVM networks such as Optimism, Arbitrum, Base, Polygon, ZKsync Era, Linea and Scroll. Solana-centered users therefore have a materially different requirement from users centered on Terenval's Bitcoin/EVM/L2 set.

A current network list matters

Wallet comparisons become stale quickly. Phantom's current support documentation on 3 October 2026 lists BNB Smart Chain among supported networks, so older reviews that describe Phantom as not supporting BSC should not be repeated. At the same time, Phantom's current page does not list Arbitrum, Optimism, Avalanche or Linea.

Terenval lists Optimism, Arbitrum One and Linea, but does not list Solana. That makes the decision unusually clear: choose the wallet only after choosing the ecosystems you actually need.

Recovery architecture

Phantom documents both conventional recovery-phrase wallets and Google/Apple-based creation/recovery flows. That can lower seed-management friction for some users but introduces a different recovery model and dependency set. Terenval's current baseline is conventional self-custody create/import.

Neither approach should be labeled universally safer. The right question is which failure modes a user understands and can recover from: loss of a phrase, loss of account-provider access, compromised device, or migration to another wallet.

Bitcoin and EVM coexistence

Both wallets can be relevant to users who want Bitcoin and Ethereum. The details still matter: Bitcoin addresses and transactions are not interchangeable with EVM accounts, and a wallet may derive or discover accounts differently after import. Test restoration and public addresses before treating a migration as complete.

On EVM networks, identical-looking addresses across chains do not combine balances. A user holding assets on Base and Ethereum still has two network contexts and may need gas on each network.

Where Terenval fits

Terenval should be considered only for users whose required networks overlap with its published list. A Solana-first user may reasonably prefer Phantom; saying that plainly makes the comparison more credible. A user who needs Bitcoin plus Optimism, Arbitrum, Base, Polygon, ZKsync Era, Linea or Scroll may have a stronger reason to evaluate Terenval's focused network set.

Terenval's native advertising block should therefore come after the ecosystem-fit comparison and should never imply that wallet support makes a chain or dApp safe.
